Are You Hiding Your Magic?

I was four years old the first time I remember trying to hide myself from others. We were visiting a different local church and my mother had dressed me in what I deemed to be a hideous outfit. There were lots of kids playing outside but i refused to get out of the car because people would see me looking dumb. So my parents did what any parent would do in 1986 and left me in the car alone to wallow in my embarrassment. I laid on the floorboard of our station wagon listening to the other kids laugh and play. I could hear the kids ask my whereabouts and then peer into the car window. The most beautiful girl opened the door and pulled me out of my self-inflicted misery. l remember it going on to be a magical afternoon and I felt silly for wasting so much time hiding myself. 

Everyone in life possesses unique gifts, their own special magic. But sadly more often than not we don't see it or trust the magic. We are fearful of stepping into our own hidden power. We wait for perfection, for the right moment, or until we feel worthy enough to show ourselves to the world. But the day never comes if we are always standing in our own way. 

Finding your own magic in life is an extraordinary journey that unveils the hidden depths of your being. The journey begins with a pursuit to discover your passions, aspirations, and the unique gifts that make you who you are.

By hiding, you are doing an injustice not just to yourself but to the Universe.
