Fall Breaking
I’m always a big fan of the fall. I love the colors and how everything begins to button up for winter. This year I took off a few days so I could spend Fall Break with my family. It was probably the best decision I could have made. We had a lot of fun together and got to make really good memories. I went camping, watched longhorns parade down a city street, saw my kids ride a mechanical bull, and just spent the days with my family
.
Boys only camping trip. We hadn’t done that together and I am so happy we did. My 4 year old is growing up way too fast. He spent most the day at the playground making friends. It was almost as soon as we got out of the truck that he said he was going to the playground. He went by himself and was just all big boy all of sudden. Honestly I was a little miffed that he ditched me, plus I had to set up camp all by my lonesome. Turns out the two times I really needed a hand, he showed up and we got it done. I ended up being pretty happy with the alone time and proud of how independent Freddy was being. We built a fire together and roasted marshmallows, told stories, and sang some songs. It was a grand time and we ended the evening by watching an old cartoon together in the tent. We asked the girls to join us for breakfast and enjoy our campsite.

I am truly thankful to be able to bond with my son like that and my entire family. It is a true blessing and we are fortunate. Have a great week and make some memories!
