Lets Talk About SEX
When was the last time you tried something new in the bedroom? If you have been with your partner for a long time chances are it’s been awhile.
Learn something new?
Where do you even do that?
A few months ago I went to our local adult toy shop, Teddy Bare. It has been in our small town for years and is run by a mother and son, awkward. I was looking for something for myself. It had been quite a while since we had any toys in the bedroom.
After looking around the back room full of colors, shapes, vibrations levels, things I’ve never seen or imagined(!) I settled on the Rose Vibrator. When checking out, the woman mentioned that I had picked a good one. She asked if my friends had told me about it. I found myself confessing to her that my friends and I don’t talk about that. She told me that I should get new friends. Turns out she was right, about the rose (and maybe the friends)
I thought if my friends aren’t talking about sex, maybe your friends aren’t talking about it either. A person can’t learn new things unless they are exposed to new information. So I compiled a list of my favorite sex and relationship podcasts, books, and blogs that have helped me learn some new tricks and ways of thinking when it comes to sex, relationships and intimacy.
Podcast
Sex with Emily-She is a Doctor of Human Sexuality, an author, leads a Masterclass, and radio host. In her podcast she answers people's questions from anything vanilla to heavily kinked. It is entertaining and informative. I think listening to her podcast can open a new world of possibilities in the world of sex and intimacy
Michaela Boehm-Michaela is an expert in intimacy, relationship and sexuality. She is an author, and creator of The Non-Linear Movement Method. She travels teaching women empowerment, making stronger intimate connections. I like listening to her podcast because it is like sitting in one of her group sessions. Michaela reminds us that deep connection with a partner starts with knowing ourselves.
Websites
Bad Girls Bible-This blog sends a discreet newsletter full of advice on how to experience and give more sexual pleasure more often. It contains ways to bring more fun in and out of the bedroom with guides to dirty talk, kinks, new positions and more.
OMGYES-Find ways to gain more intimacy and pleasure on this site. OMGYES brings findings from the largest-ever research study into women's pleasure. They offer videos and how-to’s and give inspiration for women, men, couples and solo.
Watch
